At ALEC Fresno, we empower students and celebrate the rich Lao heritage. We achieve this by providing workshops and inviting inspiring Lao speakers who embody their identity and channel it into their powerful work. This year's conference was a prime example. Students connected with outstanding individuals like Dr. Steve Arounsack, a Cultural Anthropologist, Filmmaker, and World Builder. These speakers serve as powerful role models for our youth, demonstrating how Lao heritage can be woven into impactful careers.
