A Heartfelt Thank You for Making Our Open House & Baci Blessing Unforgettable!

We are overflowing with gratitude for everyone who joined us last month to celebrate the blessing of our new space. The energy, love, and unity shared during our Open House & Baci Blessing event truly set the foundation for prosperity, healing, and collective success. From the sacred rituals to the uplifting words of our speakers, every moment was a testament to the strength of our community.

Special Thanks to Our Ajarn and Performers

A profound thank you to Ajarn Joy Ounkham Souksavardy from the Lao Buddhist Temple of Visalia for leading the Baci ceremony and blessing our space with intentions of harmony, new beginnings, and prosperity. Your wisdom and generosity in donating your time to us mean more than words can express.

We were also honored by the beautiful cultural performance by Nadrtasin Lao Lanzang & the Lao Community Cultural Center of Fresno (LCCCF), which brought the spirit of our heritage to life.

Gratitude for Our Inspiring Speakers

Each of our speakers shared powerful words that resonated deeply with all in attendance. Thank you to:

  • Dr. Khampha Thephavong, Board Chair, for your leadership and vision.
  • Anusone Keochai, Public Relations, for your dedication to our mission.
  • Pao Yang, President & CEO of the Fresno Center, for your unwavering support.
  • Nelson Esparza, District 7 Council Member, for your commitment to our community.
  • Khamla Emanivong, Vattanathann Board Member and Merced Community Leader, for your inspiring words.
  • Diane Phakonekham, President & CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters, for your heartfelt message.
  • Mayor Vong Mouancutoua of the City of Clovis, for your uplifting and motivating words of solidarity.
  • Gina Vue, Clinician & Clovis Unified School District Trustee, for your encouragement and heartfelt words.

Your words reminded us of the power of unity and the importance of continuing our shared work in service and hope.

Celebrating Together

The Baci Blessing, a sacred tradition tying us to our ancestors’ wisdom, was a beautiful highlight, as was the vibrant lunch celebration featuring delicious Lao dishes from Fresno’s finest vendors. Seeing the kids add their creative touches to our office with art was the perfect way to infuse our space with joy.

This event was a reminder of what we can achieve together. Thank you to every attendee, volunteer, and supporter who made this day so meaningful. We carry your blessings forward as we continue to serve, heal, and grow—as a community and as a family.

With deepest appreciation,
Laotian American Community of Fresno
