Keynote Speaker: Dr. Steve Arounsack
Cultural Anthropologist, Filmmaker, and World Builder
For 30 years, Dr. Arounsack has combined his expertise as an anthropologist with filmmaking skills to bring Southeast Asian cultures to life. He's collaborated with top Hollywood teams, notably serving as the cultural advisor for Disney's Oscar-nominated "Raya and the Last Dragon."
Beyond Hollywood, his acclaimed documentaries have aired on PBS and screened internationally. He empowers youth globally through storytelling workshops with partners like Disney and UNICEF.
A distinguished scholar, Dr. Arounsack holds prestigious awards for both research and teaching. He's a professor of cultural anthropology and directs the Keck Visual Anthropology Lab at California State University, Stanislaus.
