Resources for High School Students in the Fresno Area

Fresno Unified School District recently announced to triple the amount of scholarships for high school seniors, with a total of $300,000 available. Award amount ranges from $1,000 to $2,500. Fresno Unified students pursuing higher education are encouraged to apply. Scholarship requirements and the application can be found online here. The deadline to apply is Friday, March 10, 2023, 04:00 PM.

Freshman and sophomore high school students interested in higher education pursuits are encouraged to join Upward Bound. This program seeks to serve high school students in low income families and/or from families in which neither parent holds a bachelor’s degree. Some of the services are after school tutoring, college admission assistance, career planning, and a summer residential program at Fresno State. Learn more and apply at their website.
